Rainy Oregon Wedding Photography

Outdoor wedding photography can always be risky but outdoor Oregon wedding photography can be downright scary! I’ve done wedding photography in Oregon during 100-degree weather and two weeks later photographed a wedding in a complete downpour. The secret as a photographer is to always be prepared. I always have a couple large golf umbrellas in my car in case it either rains or incase they’re needed for shade.
The couple should have a “Plan B” in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Also, we should remember that we do live in Oregon (which I LOVE) so we need to understand that weather can be unpredictable and we need to accept it and if it doesn’t turn out the way we dreamed it would, we need to smile, laugh, and make the best of it. After all, it’s still one of the best days of your life!
