Will You?

May 29th 2007 11:35 am

Sometimes I get requests to photograph fun stuff that I just get all sorts of excited about. When Nora, an awesome bridal consultant, asked if I would be interested in photographing a proposal, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough!!

I spoke with Scott and he set the stage for me. He was going to bring his girlfriend, Willow, into the coffee shop where the two of them met. Friends and family would be in the back of the shop, out of sight. They would walk back and as soon as they were around everyone, he would propose.

At the last minute I was asked to play a part in the scene to “lure” them back to where everyone was hiding. They came in the door and I started taking pictures of Willow. Scott pretended to get angry (dang, he’s a good actor, I almost ran away!!) and told me to stop. I said “hey, I don’t see a ring on her finger!” and kept walking backwards. Willow said “come on, Scott, lets just leave.” :-)

I kept walking backwards untill Willow noticed everyone and Scott got down on a knee and asked the big question.

What was Willow’s answer? Tell me if you can figure it out after watching the slideshow! You will be able to view these images and the ones from the upcoming wedding by going to this SITE.

Ray, it was a pleasure to work with you! WE LOVE THE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS! You are such a good “actor” and played the part perfectly. We love how you said, “She doesn’t have a ring on her finger!!” What a foreshadowing of the ring to come. Again, you are the best… we think the wedding photos will be awesome, as well! :) The Mom

I was unable to attend the proposal but Ray you made me feel like I was right there apart of the “big setup.” You captured every emotion with each and every shot. Thank you for your good work… Abro, brother of the bride to be…
