Natalie and Nick met and began dating in High school. Eight years later, on Valentines Day, Nick proposed and now the boyfriend and girlfriend are destined to be husband and wife! What a great couple! I can’t wait for the wedding photography!
We got together in the smeltering heat (well to me anyway) and spent some time on Nataile and Nick’s engagement photographs. Nick even tried his hand as the photographer while directing Natalie as the model. Hey Nick, you could be the next big Oregon wedding photographer!

You want your wedding to be perfect! Beautiful cake, flowers, dress, makeup, hair, dinner, and venue. You also want great wedding photographs to memorialize the big day! A great wedding photographer will always get great wedding photographs but there are some things that you, the couple can do to help make that happen.
You should make sure the two of you are comfortable with your wedding photographer before you book them. Once booked, an engagement photography session is a wonderful way for the couple and the wedding photographer to get to know each other and to start feeling at ease with the photography.

The engagement session is a chance for both the couple and the photographer to get a feel for each other, understand to each other’s style, and build a relationship with one another. Besides all of that, they can be down right fun and result in fantastic images!
I always encourage my couples to include an engagement session in their wedding photography plans. Take a look at my Wedding Photography site to see just how an engagement session can help make the wedding photography better.

Wow, I was getting a little nervous knowing that Scott and Yarmela were coming into town today and we were on for shooting their engagement session outdoors. We’ve had a solid week of rain so I was busy last night working on plans for an indoor shoot, just in case. I woke up at about 5 this morning and walked out on the deck with my tea and… No rain!!
We had a great time and Scott and Yarmela are fun to have in front of the camera. They are working with the great wedding planner, Nora, of Bridal Bliss. I’m really looking forward to their wedding and since it’s next summer, we shouldn’t have to worry about getting too wet.
